I am Alexandria (Ali) Deliz Liang, a chemistry professor at the University of Zurich (UZH). Most of my time is dedicated to running my research group at UZH. But I am also passionate about data analytics and teaching! This course started out as a book suggestion when I was a postdoc (Thanks to Tom Ward at University of Basel), and developed into a short course (2 h/wk) for BSc, MSc, and PhD students. Since then the content has expanded, and the course has grown to 4 h/wk. Because of wide-spread interest in the material and requests from colleagues outside of UZH, I decided to create an open website.

You might notice that some of the material is humorous, that is intentional and a reflection of how I teach the class. I hope that it keeps you engaged and that you find the material instructive and easy to read regardless of your academic stage.
